Today I am 12 weeks and 2 days pregnant :) A few weeks ago I had a dear friend email me to say she hasn't seen an update on my blog recently. Yes, I know. I have no other excuse, other than.. I'm pregnant! Of course this translates to.. I am nauseated all the time, I am unmotivated to do ANYTHING and I'm TIRED! So, I'm sorry I haven't been keeping up with my posts.. but honestly.. all I want to do these days is sleep.. well.. and eat! haha! Sometimes I don't even want to eat though.. knowing that it's going to make me nauseated afterwards.
Anyway, last week I had my first regular ob office visit. They did an ultasound since it was my first visit with them. We saw our little stinker flipping, kicking and doing the jigg! :) It was so hard for her to get any pictures because it wouldn't sit still! She goes.. oh boy.. you're going to have your hands full with this one. I looked directly at Jeremy and said, it's your fault! Just like it's dad.. can't sit still. It was fun though.. we sat there for several minutes just watching it dance. I have an appointment this Thursday with the perinatal department for genetic testing. Jeremy, the donor and I all had genetic testing before the pregnancy, but this is supposed to test for "spontaneous" genetic disorders such as Down's Syndrome. I think this will make my 6th or 7th ultrasound.. no complaints here! I feel very blessed that we have been able to keep such a close eye on how well the baby is doing. I am also thankful that my medical insurance is finally covering the costs of my visits! Of course the infertility treatments weren't covered, but now that we are pregnant I only had to pay one $25 copay and nothing again. This past weekend I counted all the diapers we have to make sure I have enough of each size. I just need about 500 more of Size 1 and I should have all the diapers I'll need for the entire life of the child :) Yay planned me! haha!
So I think that about covers everything in a nutshell. I'll try to make more updates, but no promises! I've heard things get better in the second trimester.. I'm crossing my fingers!!!

2 Hands and 2 Feet
I am now 10 weeks and 5 days. Yesterday we had our third ultrasound.. and what a sweet one it was! If you look closely at the pictures.. you will see two hands and two feet (and even five fingers!!).
The gestational sac is still measuring small at 8 weeks and 4 days.. but at least it grew two weeks larger than the last time! It was really a bitter sweet visit this time... my last appointment at RBA. On one hand, I was excited that I would be released from the pain of daily shots and pills. On the other, I was sad to leave Dr. Shapiro and his nurses. They've obviously been a huge part of this journey with me and have become part of my support system. Dr. Shapiro left me with a gift from him and the RBA staff, a silver baby spoon. He hands it to me and says... Thank you for the Lexus. I reply.. I bought you a Lexus and all I get in return is this crummy spoon? haha! He says.. and a baby! Oh yeah.. a baby too! LOL!
I guess I will see them again if we decide to do this all over again. We still have a frozen snow baby.. however, at this point I don't think I could handle another round of this! Last night was my first night without a shot in I can't remember how long... and I LOVED it!
